Preaching in Action Plans

At the end of the conference, students are challenged with the creation of an action plan for the upcoming school year. This plan is the vehicle for sharing what they have learned at the conference to their college campuses. With the Dominican Charism firmly planted in mind, body, and spirit – the “Holy Preaching” continues!

Where will the conference take place?
The conference will take place at St. Thomas Aquinas College in Sparkill, NY.

Are meals included in the conference fees?
Yes, all meals are included in the conference fees.

Is there transportation to and from the airport?
Yes, DYMUSA will arrange pick up and drop off at the airport for any group that requests.
​
Do participants need to pack bedding (sheets, blankets, etc.)?
No, bedding will be provided to all participants.

The National College “Preaching in Action” Conference is a collaborative response to our desire as Dominicans (a.k.a. the Order of Preachers) to introduce college aged students like yourself to the foundations and characteristics of Dominican Spirituality!
So, what happens at the “Preaching in Action” Conference?
You’ll form a vibrant, prayerful and justice minded community of young adults from around the country who are ignited to become Preachers using the “pulpit of their lives.”
By hearing the word of God...
...you will learn how it is vital to the life of all Dominicans and come to know ways you can make that Word come alive in your daily life and the lives of those you meet.

...using musical talents, gifted voices and individual creativity, you will participate in prayer services that are a vital part of the conference. This powerful experience can be brought back to your places of worship, campuses or spiritual gatherings.
