October 2018
Greetings Fellow DYA members,
It has come time to elect a new National Board to lead Dominican Young Adults for the next two years (2018-2020). We are looking for hardworking, dedicated people that would like to continue to help the spread the Dominican Charism to young adults across the nation. There will be four positions that will need to be filled. These positions will help to guide the future actions of chapters nationwide. This will be an open election process, meaning that you will not be running for a specific position, but rather once elected the new board will decide whose talents and skills lend themselves to the individual positions.
The positions are as follows:
- Coordinator of Collaboration
- Coordinator of Mission
- Coordinator of Stewardship
- Coordinator of the Charism
Descriptions of the positions may be found below.
If you are interested in running for a position on the board we ask that you create a short video approximately 90 seconds, summarizing why you would like a leadership role in this organization. Please include:
- how you came to know the organization
- what you believe you can contribute if elected
- anything else you’d like DYAUSA to know
These videos will be made public on the Dominican Young Adults website so that voters can get a better sense of who they are electing. We ask that if you are interested please submit videos by November 1st, 2018 to dyausa@dymusa.org.
The actual election will be November 18th at 5:00pm EST (via Google Hangout). If you have any questions about this election process or the positions that are available do not hesitate to reach out to us at dyausa@dymusa.org
May the preaching continue with us,
