Preaching In Action College Conference Alumni are Invited to the 2023 Creative Cohort. Details below:


The Catholic Artist Connection and Discerning Deacons are seeking Catholic Artists to participate in and be featured in the first group exhibit of Art & Synodality.


What

Cohort members will meet virtually 3 times June-August for prayer, study and reflection. Cohort members can then submit their resulting art pieces by September 5 to be featured on the CAC website & a virtual showcase. Selected pieces will be showcased at the first Art & Synodality in-person exhibit at the Ignatian Family Teach-in this Oct. 28-30 in D.C. Honorarium and a travel stipend to DC for selected artists.


Who

Artists of all mediums (visual artists, songwriters, actors, poets, needle pointers, dancers, quilters…All!)


Why

The Art & Synodality project was born out of the desire to share the synod with the Catholic world in the most accessible and unifying way possible —through art.


When


Cohort meetings: June 25, July 16 & August 20

Submissions due: Sept. 5

Virtual showcase: TBD

In person showcase at IFTI: Oct 28-30, 2023


How

Via zoom, connecting artists from across the country and all disciplines, in moments of prayer, reflection and creativity. Staying open to the Holy Spirit!
